I had a dream last night about Iraq. Me and the other four soldiers in the US Army walked up to Saddam's palace under flag of truce and shot everyone with the machine-guns built into our walkers, then occupied the palace, moving in our furniture and everything, and getting a big-screen TV.

Then Saddam came back at the helm of a giant alien space cruiser (sort of like a Zentradi warship, only red and black with a big pirate skull... maybe one of the ships from NHS?) and blew the palace up with an orbital bombardment. We frantically phoned Cheney and asked for help, but he didn't pick up.

So we were forced to flee for our lives via public transportation, with all the Iraqis hating us because we'd killed the (seven) guards of the palace during the invasion. I remember thinking that we probably should have just taken them prisoner. We eventually got thrown off the bus and found ourselves stranded in the middle of Siberia -- I could tell because there was snow.

There were other parts of the dream, but they're sort of private.

After waking up, I tried to hunt some Blood Shreths solo in AC2. Last night I was able to take them out most of the time, but this time luck just wasn't with me and I kept getting killed. Frustrating.

And now I have to get back to work on this stupid bug with a fix that should have been trivial, but mysteriously does nothing.

There's one song in the 98 tape rotation that I listen to at work that I always look forwards to... 'Here Comes the Flood' by Peter Gabriel. Too often, it goes by without my noticing it, though, even though I feel a little excited when I put in that tape -- it's last on the tape, after a string of kind of forgettable songs like 'Solsbury Hill', and I get distracted easily.

Today, though, I noticed it as it was beginning, and turned up the volume so that I could listen to it properly. I normally keep the volume way down to avoid bothering the people in neighboring offices. No, I can't use headphones -- they give me a headache if I use them for more than a couple hours.

But as I was groovin' to the song, a coworker HAD to come and knock on the door to ask me a question I couldn't really answer, and completely ruin everything.

Eh...

Got some Legions cards... you know, I was sort of okay with the idea of an all-creatures expansion, since I *do* like creatures, but none of these creatures were very interesting. Most of them seemed like a lame attempt to implement spells inefficiently while technically making them creatures. Lots and lots of Morph. I hate Morph. Mostly because I always forget it exists, especially in Apprentice.

And I didn't get the 'opponent loses' card. Sniffle.

EDIT: I also hate Morph because it was so obviously added as a competitive feature to attract Yu-Gi-Oh players. Magic shouldn't have to compete with Yu-Gi-Oh. Yu-Gi-Oh is so utterly awful that it should implode under its own worthlessness and destroy everyone who's ever touched it. Except me.

Then I played AC2. )
