Boss Fight!

So, Friday night we finished up the GURPS game with a boss fight. The boss was something like a 2000 point character (I didn't work out all the points, but he had most stats at 30 including, like, magery, and at least 200 points of wealth... and three levels of increased time rate so that he got to take four actions per turn) and so the party had to cheat rather heavily to kill him. Which was the idea, of course.

Next, Keith (who was playing Gamble) is going to GM a Champions game. Most of us have character ideas; we spent the rest of the session working on them a little, but not everyone was finished by the and. I've been finished for *months* of course. 9.9

Friday night we played some GURPS. The party decided to become assassins in return for shiny technology.

Friday night we played some GURPS. The party headed back towards the City of Darkness but didn't make it all the way there (yet).

Last night we played some GURPS... the party invaded the town of KitKat, fought off its native night-life, and were treated to chocolate and pistachio pudding by its ghosts.

Last night we played a little more GURPS. It was apparently amusing for Murdock. Prossibly for Chris, too. Probably not so much for Keith since he didn't get to do anything. x.x

For some reason, everything I eat right now tastes like soap. Except for olives; the olives tasted fine.

Friday night we played some GURPS. The party continued to fight everyone and everything, probably because they think that's what I want them to do. I am not... really... on top of the whole 'guiding the plot' part of the game this time. v.v

Friday night we played some GURPS. Yay.

When I got home after the game: "Oh right, the perception field was there so that the dragon could transform without being seen, but I totally forgot about it and had them leave the tower instead. Oops."

Last night we played some gurps. The players sat around doing nothing except persistently refusing any offered plot hooks, except for Carnelian, who eventually started a riot with the explicit goal of destroying the city.

Friday we played some GURPS in what is turning into a boring post-apocalyptic setting because I don't know what I'm doing. Apparently.

Friday night we played another GURPS session over at Games and Gizmos. It wasn't as crowded this time; the group nextdoor was playing 40k instead of mutants and masterminds, so they were crowded around their own little battlemat.

Friday night we met over at Games and Gizmos to play some GURPS. They did have lots of table space... most of it taken up by Friday Night Magic. Most of the rest was taken up by a HUGE group with like 12 people in it. We were there first, though, and staked out enough room to set everything up, only to have them start setting their backpacks and food on my battle-mat. "Um, we're going to use that eventually," I said, "so don't store things there." Apparently, that was a massive faux pas because they kept glancing askance at me and making sarcastic remarks about how not to get anything on the mat.

...and yet, by the time we actually needed to use it, there was stuff on it again. We didn't need to use the whole thing, though.

Blah. The last part of the session was ridiculously rushed because the fight with the necromancers dragged on sooooo loooong. And I couldn't just delay the next part, since it was where Armitage got taken out of the game -- which I had to do that night because Lazar is leaving for california.

It especially sucked for Gamble, who was taken out in the first round basically and had nothing to do the whole night. Damn it.

Last night we played a little gurps. Since Lazar's moving to California, we'll have one more session at his place (minus furniture, apparently) and then he'll be gone FOREVER.

So we're looking into somewhere new to play, maybe one of the local game shops? Or we could find someone with enough space and invite them to join the gaming group, as a trap to play at their house maybe. Those were the options we discussed after verifying that no one actually had room (except for Murdock whose parents go to bed too early for that to be a good option when they aren't on vacation).

... and we'll actually do that fight next time.

I hadn't actually gotten around to making up a map of the dungeon the party was heading for, so... er... that is... in order to give a sense of distance and desolation and danger, I had them run into a few flavorful encounters along the way that I absolutely did *not* make up on the spot. Although I might have made up the details on the spot. I'm sure nobody noticed!
