All pedestrians look alike?
Jun. 8th, 2005 10:27 amI made a slight mistake yesterday, jogging part of the way home. Home is downhill, so I felt fine at the time, but I woke up this morning and my *ankle* is sore. So after taking the perfunctory 30-minute stroll, I drove to work.
The parking garage at work is set up poorly... it's a dead-end spiral that makes you walk past all the cars still coming in up to three times to get to the elevator. The last such crossing, I was right behind V. from my group, who (perhaps unwisely) aggressively crossed in front of this one car, forcing it to slam on its brakes. Or, well, he actually only forced it to slow down slightly, but the driver slammed on his brakes.
...and then, once V was past, slammed on his accelerator and swerved right towards *me*!
By the time I'd taken cover between the rows of parked cars, he'd already thought better of vehicular homicide and slowed down and turned back to drive normally, but sheesh! I can understand why he was mad, but pick your targets, people!
