Yesterday, I took a break from doting over my sister's baby to go play in Lazar's Shadake game. It was a kind of scatterbrained session, in which not all that much happened, until the end when Tsuru and Kiet *finally* agreed to actually do something.

The session ran late, and I got home around 2am, then got stuck on the toilet until 3. Then woke up at 8 so that I could go get comics before heading out to my sister's again. Ugh.

Apparently, babies are magic Boring machines.

The process isn't really very hard to follow -- the baby has to be taken care of constantly, therefore if you're really daring you might go on a walk to the park, or shopping in a strip mall (for baby clothes, of course). Or you might put the baby in a neglect-o-matic and play video games.

I'm absolutely sure Chu Chu Rocket is the most aggravating multiplayer game in existance. It's a perfectly viable strategy to all but forget about directing mice into your rocket, and just send cats to your enemies. Alex is very good at directing cats.

Getting very very angry at the controller (for some reason I kept hitting the wrong directional arrows) trying to play Chu Chu Rocket is about the highlight of my weekend so far. x.x

Spent the day with family again, and although things of course went veeery veeery slowly (driving across town to the park took two and a half hours, all told, from when we started getting ready to when we arrived) we did get a nice walk in the Arboretum in, and some multiplayer Chu Chu Rocket (which infuriated me, even though I won) and Red Dog (which I lost constantly, but didn't piss me off in the process).

Mom and Aunt Annie are going to be bothering Anna and Alex all week, but I'm going back to work -- the point is to dote over the baby, and I don't need to be there for that. Theoretically I could go over after work, but I'd have like an hour from the time I could reasonably get out there (8pm) and when they start going to sleep (9pm) which is less than the travel time each way. So I'm not going to.

Afterwards, I picked up some water at the grocery store, and some chicken wings any soy milk while I was there. UGH! Vanilla soy milk is utterly undrinkable, even though I love chocolate soy milk. Luckily I had the water to wash the taste out of my mouth. @.@
