Lox cancelled the world tree game at the last second, so I went down to the movie gathering. There were quite a few people there, pretty chaotic.

For lunch I had some borscht, which wasn't as beety as I was afraid of -- it's mostly cabbage, with beets just for coloring. Also got a piroshky, basically a meat bun, which seemed to be filled with really, really cheap meat -- it tasted the same as the 'Ground Chub' I inflicted on the Friday group a while back.

The movie they were seeing was 'Finding Nemo', which I'd just seen the day before -- I hadn't expected to go, and I thought they were going to see 'Bruce Almighty', but it turned out I'd gotten the weeks mixed up by not checking e-mail often enough. A lot of people didn't want to see Finding Nemo, so I stayed back with them.

We played several games of Flux, which is a really stupid game -- basically a very complicated version of Russian Roulette. Unless the cards you draw let you win that turn, it doesn't matter *what* you do because it's likely that none of the rules or goals will still be around by the time it gets back to you, and you'll have discarded your entire hand.

Then I headed back to Tasho's ([livejournal.com profile] spottycat's) place with some folks. The four of them were acting really touchy-feely with each other, and eventually got to the point where they asked Tasho (and presumably me) to leave, although I think they were joking, and at any rate Tasho said 'screw you' to 'em. Since, you know, he was playing Planetside, which looks like all the clicky nonsense of a first person shooter with all the run around and wait of Everquest. Oh, and the lifestone camping from Asheron's Call for good measure! Definately not my thing.

Eventually we ended up playing a game of Illuminati, though. I would have won if it hadn't been for that meddling kid and his 'your attack automatically fails' card. The guy after me won instead, playing the discordians... although not on the same turn, since he rolled a *natural* automatic failure on his first attempt. Still, fricking Discordians.

Then I pretty much headed home, and finally beat Primal. The last boss is really easy if you've been hording energy crystals, which heal you to full if you'd otherwise die. I had 15, and used 5 during the battle. Now back to Xenosaga, I guess!
