Early to bed, early to rise.

Last night I tried to watch 'Dagon' on the scifi channel, but it was sooo boooring that I couldn't really stay awake through it, and around 11 when it ended I felt really tired and just had to go to bed.

So of course I woke up exactly seven hours later, after what I vaguely remember as being a satisfying and vaguely military-themed dream. At 6am.

This gave me plenty of time before going to work to wonder what the hell I was going to do with myself. And hope I hadn't messed up my sleep schedule. }:P

Everyone's eyes are gray.

It's that simple. At the gathering Sunday I was prompted by something to check what color peoples' eyes were, and they were all gray.

I got lots of objections. 'No, my eyes are blue!' 'Mine are hazel.' 'Mine are green/blue.' But they were all clearly wrong -- I was looking right at them and they were all gray as sin.

Today I checked the mirror, and my *own* eyes are gray now. They never used to be.

The only explanation I can come up with is that someone installed a lower-detail texture pack, at least for my client. Well, that or 'flourescent lights make peoples' eyes look gray'.

Bombs and Photos

Lance dropped a bombshell today when he revealed that he was *not* going to start running a Dragonstar game, as had previously been planned -- instead he was being deported to Canada. This meant that not only was he dropping out of the Tuesday game, but that Luis, who's been playing over the net through Lance's computer, might also not be able to play.

But there are other people who can maybe connect to Luis, but since they didn't seem to be paying attention to the mail thread, I went and bought a webcam. The cheapest I could find.

While I was there, though, I found that there was such a thing as a smartmedia reader, which meant that at long last I could get the damn photos off my camera! Wow, some of them were really old... pictures of my grandmother from when she was alive, pictures of my sister's wedding...

I only uploaded one, though -- a picture of myself that isn't as horrible as the one currently up on my site. Although I have yet to change the HTML on my site.
