Tonight was Murdock's BESM game. It went a lot better tonight, especially since a question about the duration of his 'dynamic sorcery' made Umbra and the GM actually *look* at the description of the power, and Umbra mentioned a severe limitation on it -- namely, that it was restricted to a specific idiom, in his case 'necromancy' -- that he'd been essentially ignoring, at least in the last session where he really went wild blowing shit up and otherwise doing everything under the sun.

He still ended up basically carrying the party, because intangibility and invisibility are ludicrously powerful, but anyone could have bought those two powers for relatively cheap. Although making them usable both on self and on others would have been a bit harder. Also, he'll probably continue to be overpowered given a power like that, because Lazar is always very... creative in his interpretations of limitations.

Yeah, it annoys me, kinda, like Louis and his dice that always roll at least 19, but it's not a big deal, and Lazar generally tries not to steal the entire show, when he's paying attention.

After the game I lacked the mental discipline not to pray that the inspection had gone smoothly, so when I got home I discovered that, in fact, it had -- or at least, no complaint was left on my door -- but the bathtub was *still* clogged from that morning. Argh!

Let me think... I stopped down to pick up comics, and ate at IHOP on the way back -- coconut, bananas, and walnuts on pancakes. Huh. Then I decided to go to the park, but they were charging $1 for parking, which was too much, and while it was on the honor system, I don't really like breaking unimportant rules, so I decided to stop down at Illusionz, which is an even suckier arcade now.

Then... let's see... I went home, and wrote up some stats for these weird-ass thingies I'm having my players fight... decided to call them the Tximisti because it sounds creepy and it's easier to steal names than to make new ones up.

Oh! Then I went to see 'Finding Nemo', which was pretty neat. Lots of bits that made me cringe, but not so many that I regretted seeing the movie. Too many handicapped fish for my taste, though... seeing handicapped thingies in movies is always annoying, and having two of the three main characters be disabled is kind of overboard.

Also -- it was a Disney movie, so the mother had to die, yes, I understand that. But did 399 babies have to die with her?

And I guess that's pretty much it. I feel cheated.
