I'm jealous. [livejournal.com profile] postvixen has better dreams than I do.

I dreamed about playing a sort of board-game version of civilization, with random starting locations. And starting populations. And starting tech levels. I had a tiny city, with four workers, all busy mining or farming 'fiber' or doing other things (it wasn't *exactly* civilization). I wasn't paying much attention to the rest of the board, so I was surprised when red moved a guy right through my territory and made a huge volcano right next to me.

I took my fiber-mining guy and turned him into a warrior -- since fiber didn't do anything -- and had him try to attack the volcano, but the other players argued that I wasn't allowed to do that, since he was the only worker generating that resource. They tried to convince me that I shouldn't worry about the volcano, or the massive military-industrial complex three spaces from my only city, because I had nothing worth taking, so why did I want to attack and make trouble?

So I pointed out that I was so small and primitive that the only reasonable thing to do was wipe me out and build a real city there instead of my mud huts.

Sigh. After waking up I played some AC2... I think my current allegiance is officially kaput. Or maybe it's just that I can barely play for an hour here and there and can't really do much. I tried to do a few quests last night, with mixed results. Sanguine Fang/scum Inner Darkness chaos horde: Check. Three Doctrines: Check. Broken Totem: killed by random monsters before reaching the dungeon. D'oh!

Still level 24. No beetle yet. I want my beetle! 15k xp to go... broken totem would have been 12k. [sniffle]
