hating bank teller now

The latest stupid stupid brokerage insisted that I get the bank routing number (found on every check) 'verified by the bank', so I took it in and asked the teller to verify the number.

He read it off my deposit slip (I was also depositing a couple checks).

And wrote it into the 'account number' blank. I didn't tell him to write it anywhere.

Then he tried to correct the mistake by writing really sloppily and messily over the routing number with the account number, leaving it completely illegible... and put his initials next to it so that the brokerage would be absolutely certain... um... that he was an idiot?

The form had little boxes for each number, as if it was going to be OCR'd... so I think I'll cross it out to make it fail completely, then write the number legibly next to it so that whoever handles scanning errors can enter the right information.

Get out of my head!

Argh! The horrible music keeps playing and playing, in my head, even when I try to listen to something else!
