First, or rather, second, I made a decision about the world tree story. Throwing out both of the previously considered options, I instead wrote a part about Quilli that made even *less* sense. I think it works, though. Kinda.

part 15
(part 1 is where it starts... it's been a while now)

Secondly, before that was Loxley's online world tree game. There was a party. That's pretty much it. Okay, okay, I can go into more detail. }:P

Basically, there was some angst over engagement gifts, since the purpose of the party was to announce Wonkotirip and Cimmoronovia's engagement. Kijji decided to get them a card, since he was permanently broke because of his curse. Klepsydra and Mikh bought them small appliances or something... oh, yeah, and a ship in a bottle.

Lox and Pta were at the party, and told about their new job (captaining an airship owned by someone else) and their sekret farm project growing liftweed. Linn was there seducing Hallanotirip. Tenstol etc. were also there but didn't get talked to because the announcements started.

The surprise announcement was that Brunotirip was disowned. Mostly. He got to keep 20% of the company and go off and do his little illegal empire things with the Ring of Iron, and Wonkotirip was to inherit the rest. This made neither Bruno nor Wonko happy. In fact, it probably made both of them terrified out of their skins, although neither showed it.

A last minute appearance was made by a famous playwright who wanted exclusive rights to tell the story of the voyage to the bottom of the tree. Everyone decided to sell out, although Mikh insisted on an explicit exemption for Heroic Balladry so that his tribe could sing of his exploits -- not that his exploits involved going to the bottom of the tree, but apparently the incident in the sewers was going in the play as well.

And that's about it. Hopefully Brunotirip doesn't hire assassins to kill Wonko or anything. I guess the party should be on their guard.

last session next session

For my game coming up Tuesday, I decided to just spec out the drow encampment and let the players decide how to respond. I threw in a bunch of friendly NPCs to get gruesomely slaughtered if they try a frontal assault, so that they can realize that it's a bad idea before anyone that matters dies.
