also, me == slacker
Apr. 6th, 2003 02:15 pmFreelancer is a lot of fun and is using up the time I might otherwise be bored enough in to write entries in this journal. I should probably at least summarize Friday's game...
Instead, I'll talk about how AC2 is being incredibly frustrating, because you either have to group with other people (with all that entails) or go solo.
T: "Okay, meet us in Rakani. We're recalling now."
B: "Portal recall?"
T: "We don't have it, so just meet us in Rakani. We're LS recalling to Ikeras."
B: "Where did you go?"
T: "We recalled to IKERAS, we're heading to RAKANI."
[a bit later]
B: "Where are you?"
T: "Rakani."
B: "Meet me in Ikeras."
T: "Just come meet us in Rakani."
B: "How do I get there?"
T: "Take the portal labeled 'Rakani'."
[later, after finding out the vaults we were hunting glyphs for near Rakani needed level 30]
T: "So what quests should we do instead? Incursions?"
B: "Do moars! Do moars!"
[we start moars]
B: "Hey, I didn't get the quest!"
[leaves group]
So, we had to do Moars anyway without him, of course, since NOT completing it leaves you with about 200 fewer hitpoints. THAT was fun. We had to jump off a cliff and swim to the beach. Routine, you'd think. Kar decided he needed to get on land as quickly as possible more than he wanted to live, so he drew a whole bunch of monsters which killed him... Fly and I managed to take them out by playing ping pong. This was repeated by other dumbasses not in our fellowship several times, although we managed to save most of them. It took Kar about a half hour to find his way back. The quest itself went smoothly, at least.
Then we spent a long boring time hunting for XP. Flyken was obsessed with XP. Every time someone asked a question, he'd respond 'which gives more xp?" until I screamed at Flyken to STOP FRICKING TALKING ABOUT XP! DON'T EVER MENTION IT AGAIN IN MY PRESENCE! AAAIIIEEE!
