I'm doing feature work, and I still get bugs from hell.
The quicktests mysteriously stopped working after some changes I made, so I can't check them in to the main project. Trying to debug the problem is hindered by the many seemingly unrelated failures only happening when running the quicktest in automatic mode and not debugging.
As far as I can tell, arbitrary low-level shit is arbitrarily failing -- at least it's not actually random! So maybe I'm trashing memory or something?
I'm down to disabling bits of my changes to see if I can maybe fence in where this wolf came from... a slow process, but hopefully not as slow as the zero progress I made yesterday and the first half of today.
Theological note: I tried not to, but I couldn't help making a short plea this morning to powers unknown that it would turn out not to be my fault and just magically fix itself... so the particular instance that I'd been slowly tracking down all day Thursday but hadn't quite gotten to the bottom of stopped happening, and I had to start all over. Nice to know he's consistent, at least.
