Adventures in starship repair

terryclothLast night was Chris' sci-fi shadake game. It was delayed a bit so that people could watch the last episode of farscape, which was fine with me... I played some AC2, finally made level 30 with Arona and took missile paragon. One of the guys there let me use his computer, which let me play with options I normally can't use -- the pixel-shaded water looks *so* much better than the stuff I normally get, and the frills make it look less like you're walking on polygons. Sigh.
Anyway, the RPG:
So, yeah, it turned out that the damage from the fight was worse than I'd thought, and we couldn't even jump out of the system. We were lucky 'cause there was an inhabited planet in the system. It was a major pirate hangout, which was bad luck, but there was only one pirate in the system, so we just docked at a different station... Blue found a repair ship to fix him, although there was an awful lot of zeroes in the bill.
Nothing for the rest of us to do but wander around... there was a big rock concert, but it was for some lame-o local band. Blue wouldn't help me break into all the empty stores while the population was distracted 'cause he was worried he'd get caught, so it was a total yawn.
Then, pirates attacked. The concert. We retreated back into Blue to wait it out... I programmed in some nifty firing patterns that could have taken both pirate ships out before they knew what was going on, but no, everyone wanted to avoid violence.
Then Blue tried to hack the pirates and accidentally got them all fighting each other. More pirates came in and started fighting too... and then the blacktrons started fighting... but Blue wouldn't fight. He just snuck off into deep space to finish his repairs. Gah.
So then we jumped to another system, since that part was fixed at least, and Blue tried to play the good guy by tipping off the federation about the pirate battle. So of course the federation jumped us in a mall with a bunch of armored soldiers.
After a bunch of sillness -- I pushed one of them down an elevator shaft Kevry disabled, Blue's avatar threw a bunch of goo grenades at four of them, Ran turned invisible and hid grenades under their feet, Trent and Isaiah shot and attacked and stuff -- I managed to break through the faceplate of one of the enemies and burrow into his suit through his face. If I hide in his chest cavity, maybe I can get the enemies to forget about me...
