Good Deeds?

terryclothWell, I hopefully finished the Bug From Hell at work, today, depending on whether various people approve of my fix. Some of them are testers, so... well, you know how testers are. They find bugs in *everything*. They might try more than the three fonts I played around with, or use rotated text, or a chart, or something... [sigh]
But, anyway, today is the one night this week that I don't have to do anything after work, so I decided to, er, play AC2. And spend the night helping people out, with Arona, on Frostfell. She was level 21, and man, trying to help a level 19 kill the undead was just painful. Literally. There was a lot of death, but some other people helped here and there, and eventually we came up with a strategy that worked. Except on the damn rangers.
But then a group came to do Prosper vault, so I told the guy I was helping to wait like five minutes while I ran the vault with them... he was gone by the time I got out. Oh, well. Some people didn't have glyphs, and refused to go run the scout notebook quest to get them, so I went and ran it *for* them and came back to taunt them... they had the last laugh, though, since they were gone when I got back (5 minutes later). But someone else was waiting and begging, so I gave it to him.
Then... a level 14 person asked for help leveling up. She seemed to think that killing the undead with me would be productive. The problem is that at level 14 -- with a bow doing 38 damage max to my 95, and that's before armor -- she couldn't survive against them long enough to get any reasonable damage in. It was a fiasco... I eventually led her around on the Three Doctrines quest and then healed her while she killed some drudges, which went much faster and was way safer.
Then I gave away a bunch of stuff in Cavendo, and... decided to log out.
So, now... net stuff. Then maybe Dark Cloud 2. The invention system in DC2 is really aggravating. I want to strangle the person who came up with it. Just until they pass out, though -- the game's okay otherwise.
