Sigh. It looks like Verant... er, I mean Turbine is doing their best to kill AC2. March is supposed to be the big patch to fix the broken classes, so they pre-announce what's going to be in it:

A nerf for Feral Intendants, one of the few classes that worked. Apparently, they weren't 'working', they were 'too powerful', and all the 'broken' classes are supposedly only broken by comparison. Except that they're not -- they're full of actual crippling bugs and useless skills, and the patch doesn't really address most of them, although it *does* do a lot, especially for Invokers.

Not to mention that FIs weren't exactly the best class out there. They were pretty powerful because all their skills worked, same as the other powerful classes like Defender (all Defender skills work) or Elementalist (all Elementalist skills work) or Raider (all Raider skills work).

FIs should still be playable after the nerf, they'll just be broken in that only a few of their skills will still be useful -- just like all the other broken-but-playable classes like the hivekeeper or ranger. Yay! Now we don't have to fix *anything*!

Oh, they also gimped the beetle pet, which is the only pet FIs will be able to use after the big nerf -- unless they want to give up all useful class abilities and significantly debuff themselves to use one of the other pets... both of which were also gimped, just not as severely.

VERANT -- er, I mean TURBINE, ARE YOU ON CRACK!? It's not just people who play FIs that are going to be pissed off and demoralized by this -- how do you think all the people who play the classes that were only ever as functional as you're making FIs now will feel? Now they KNOW they'll never be fixed!
