terryclothAfter briefly getting on to AC2 after getting home from work, I got kicked off when MSN flaked... although, to be fair, at least part of it is probably the phone cable connection going wonky -- I switched it to a different outlet (even though this means I have to step over the cable whenever I enter my apartment) and it looks more stable, although since the only thing that was ever *really* unstable was AC2 it's hard to tell.
And what the hell is up with that? My dialup is stable unless I try to play AC2... at which point it loses the connection to the ISP. How does what I connect to through the ISP affect the connection from my computer to the ISP? Fucking network crap.
Anyway, after getting kicked off... I can't get back on at all. I'm now one of the lucky VERY VERY MANY who can't get past 'connecting to the authentication server'. Whatever the bug is, it seems to be contagious.
So... fuck.
Now, let's go to my other computer and see if I can read e-mail tonight! [EDIT: yes, I can, thank god! Figured out what was wrong -- it was crashing because I had an unsent message waiting in my outbox. Not that that is by any stretch of the imagination a situation worth crashing over.]
