Mistake Pizza
Feb. 1st, 2003 03:55 pmAfter picking up the week's comics (new Gold Digger! Yay!) I decided I'd order pizza today, since I hadn't done it in a while. But instead of ordering Domino's like normal, I tried out this new place, 'Pizza Man Pizza'. They made a big deal out of being all froofy and gourmet and stuff, but it was the most ordinary, nondescript pizza I've ever had. I wouldn't be surprised to find they subcontract out to Papa Murphy's. Or at least pinched the recipe book.
Plus, the pizza was really hard to chew, and hurt my fragile teeth. Sniffle.
Haven't done much else today, 'cept play AC2.
Early morning after my shower I got on, and after discovering just how expensive manufacturing Elariwood would be -- I burned through all the money I'd collected in 18 levels of playing, and got skill 8 out of 30 that I'd need to even *try* the Elariwood recipe -- I did the 'drudge potion' quest with some people I didn't know. Kurge's allegiance seems sort of... disorganized, as if it was a random collection of people or something. Which it probably is. The chat channels were working, at least, but only random gossip was on.
Anyway, this group did not rampage like my last group. We fought, and got hurt. Mostly I got hurt, since I was the tank for a pair of archers. But we got there, and got the potion, and finished the quest and all, and I even picked up a 'drudge cabalist' for this 'Hashan's Revenge' quest I'm on which I finished most of before finding the group, leaving only a 'murk drudge', which is doubtless some level 50 creature I can't hope to face.
One of the people in the group seemed to speak mostly in japanese Romanji. Or maybe it was spanish. Or maybe it was just gibberish.
Afterwards, I didn't really have a quest or anything (since with how hard the Cabalist had been, I didn't think I was ready for a Murk Drudge on my own, and there wasn't any time limit) so I started hunting gruitts. Big. Fat. Orcs. Really easy, and lots of XP, compared to most things. Not compared to what I need to actually go up in level, though. And the loot is kind of thin, although it's good enough to practice toolmaking with. But there was NO SNOW on the guitt beach, unlike the rest of Osteth (the newbie continent), so I had to stay there. I mean, I'm a lizard, you know? Don't like the cold.
Then I got disconnected, right in the middle of a fight. I wonder if I'm still alive? Auto-attack should have been sufficient to kill the thing.
EDIT: I don't really care about the shuttle disaster, aside from the people that got killed. The shuttles are SO OLD, and they were never very studry to begin with! How can they still be using them? Develop a modern lifter already!
