Beetle Summary:

terryclothGot in about an hour of AC2 this morning, which is normal lately (although sometimes I watch a DVD or something instead). Finished up the 'Scythe Beetle Incursion' quest Jabal and I had been working on when the 'Old Scratch' Lashie ate us... scythe beetles are all red and scary, but I didn't have much trouble soloing them even without the 2/5 armor buff (2 minute effect, 5 minute cooldown == you can't have it on all the time).
So, emboldened, I rampaged around the area taking on beetles and thornlings and (smaller) lashers -- thornlings are cute. They have little green cloaks and make musical noises as they shoot rediculously damaging blowgun darts at you.
I finally decided to go up against a 'Poison Scythe Beetle' which was a lot like a normal Scythe Beetle except that it had six times as many hit points. I'd like to say it was an epic battle, and that with a little luck I could have pulled it off... but, no. It ate me for breakfast.
