So, we've had some luck playing Demigod cooperatively against the computer, but that gets kind of boring because the computer doesn't put up much of a fight. There is a way to get a difficult game against the computer, though -- the 'hard' tournament loads up your team with weak computer players and the enemy team with hard ones, so your teammates mostly exist to feed gold and xp to the other team, and you have to do all the work yourself. It's a bit egregious though.
So we decided to try some PvP. Instead of fighting each other, we decided to get in a big 5v5 game with some of Trask's friends, and... well, I lagged out right away.
So I got in a smaller 2+2 AI vs 3 game and... lagged out right away, again.
I didn't want to play anymore after that. Setting up the games took like a half hour, and not being able to play after all that effort was really disheartening.
So we went back to City of Heroes and played some crappy Mission Architect arcs (I'm not saying all AE is crappy, but the first one we picked was very crappy and the second was just average) until we hated life and slunk off to bed, dejected and defeated.
And today, my tape player is squealing loudly in my ears instead of playing the tapes. Yay.
