Did you know that permanent magnets can be used to tune a CRT monitor's RGB values from across the room? And that the changes you make that way stay even after you suddenly realize that the magnets you're playing with are screwing up the monitor from across the room and take them even further away?
Luckily, you can mostly fix things by fiddling around with the magnets like they were a magic wand erasing all the turquiose areas... I've still got on little patch of faint turqoise left that I can't get rid of, but considering how bad it was for a while I think I'm going to stop pressing my luck.
So much for my cunning plan of using magnets to fiddle absently with at work so I wouldn't keep chewing on the pens.
