Failure, and a movie

terryclothI woke up this morning and wanted to play Stars! Unfortunately, it didn't seem to be on my computer anywhere. I thought that was strange, but I have my old computer lying around, so after looking everywhere and failing to find the necessary cables, and discovering that its old monitor was now broken, I temporarily cannibalized my current system and got it fired up.
Well, it had Stars! on it. But 'the configuration had changed' so I needed to re-enter the registration code, which I thought I'd written down in a text file, but apparently... well, it's lost. Damn it.
Anyway, after that nonsense I went to see 'The Two Towers' with the sunday Crossroads movie gathering. It wasn't as good as I'd hoped, but it was decent. I don't think I could stay awake through it twice -- it's like Princess Mononoke in the 'somnolent music while panning over landscape' department.
Basically, I wasn't wowed by the effects like I wanted to be, but there were enough good lines and other silliness to keep me engaged. And, really, that's the same way I felt about the first one.
