Still Sick
Dec. 21st, 2007 02:09 pmNot as sick as I was the first -- well, the second day. The first day I thought it was just indigestion or something. Still pretty miserable, though. The worst part is that it's keeping me from sleeping well, so I'm tired from that in addition to being tired just because I have a cold. x.x
And SOMEONE sent me a giant smoked turkey in the mail for some reason. I don't know why. I do know that it's basically all I ate yesterday. Well, it and some side dishes I got from Safeway -- stuffing and gravy and cranberry sauce except that the cranberry sauce had either gone bad or was impossible to taste with a cold or just didn't go very well with smoked turkey as opposed to roast turkey. I didn't really eat very much of it, so I guess the logical thing would be to continue to eat nothing but it (and maybe some oatmeal for medicinal purposes) for the next couple days, since it'll go bad otherwise.
They also sent me a giant tub of cashews, even though I told them that I'd gotten really sick of cashews ever since they kept sending me a giant tub of cashews every year. I haven't opened it, though. Not looking forwards to that.
Let's see... last year my vacation was ruined by signing up for broadband. This year it was supposed to be ruined by getting a new laptop, but Dell saved me from that by delaying delivery until I'm going to be back at work. So I go sick instead? This is certainly ruinous. If it'd happened while I was at work I'd at least have the pleasure of infecting people.
