Fiery Crash...
Nov. 6th, 2007 12:15 pmNWN2 has found another way to vex me (in addition to the stupid hunger mechanism) -- after 10 minutes of play, the computer locks up, and won't reboot -- rebooting gives 'CPU over temperature error' and I have to wait fifteen minutes or so to let it cool down.
Only NWN2 does this. I can play city of heroes for six hours (like I did last night, and the night before), but as soon as I switch to NWN2, boomcrash.
Or I can turn the computer on in the morning, after being turned off all night, launch NWN2, and 10 minutes later, crash.
It only started doing this after I got to the 'Wells of Larue'... maybe if I can survive long enough to get off that map, it'll stop? Yeah, whatever.
The other game that was annoying me was the new Spyro game for the PS2, because it was ludicrously hard. The enemies were just *fast* and accurate and... then I finally remembered that they gave you a slow-time power in this version, that I'd completely forgotten about. That made the fights a lot easier.
