Character Ideas: 0
Dec. 16th, 2002 04:53 pmToo... many... rerolls... Lance/Dan's group keeps making me make new characters for one reason or another, for various reasons and in such a way that I can't even re-use old ones.
And now I'm out. Supposed to have yet another new one for Tuesday, and then a Traveller one or something a little later... oy, Traveller makes it hard to make a character. T/ K/ and P/ skills are going to be the bulk of many characters' existances, and they aren't enumerated -- you can have anything at all after the /. So you have to know exactly what you want before you start -- and then you still might not get it!
For example, let's say you put a low score in EDU, planning to raise it during your college years, so that you can have a high INT and get lots of different K/ and T/ skills (based on EDU). Oops! Failed the roll to get into college! Now you've got a character designed to be an academic or technician or whatever who *won't ever be one*. So... what? Join the navy anyway? Turn to a life of crime? Doggedly persist in your chosen path even though you have a negative stat modifier to your primary skills? }:)
Anyway... I was vaguely considering being a druid again, but someone else is already being a cleric, and being a druid with a cleric around is just depressing. So I think I'll be a fighter or barbarian or something lame like that.
