Today's Experiment: Failure

terryclothToday I made the third attempt to get broadband internet, and like the first two, it failed.
I went to earthlink and tried to upgrade my account from dial-up to high speed, and... well, their website just didn't work. It didn't recognize my existing account as existing at step... let's say 'five' (I wasn't actually counting), and didn't remember the promo it had been telling me it was going to offer, and basically just told me that to continue I had to make an entirely new account with a new e-mail address and pay full price from day 1.
If I wanted to do *that*, I'd just get a new fucking account with someone else. Even if everyone else charged more, because I don't like being forced to move. And, hey, everyone else *doesn't* charge more.

So, yeah, I'm still on dialup. Probably forever, at this rate.
