terryclothI didn't really do anything special over the weekend -- I played a lot of City of Heroes, in spurts, taking Risky Raven up to 20th and getting him a cape.
At one point, I whined about how I didn't have hover yet (after a large group had me fighting Tsoo followed by... er... some other group that knocked me down a lot), and of course this led to the obligatory argument about whether hover was still worth taking after ED. At one point someone made the claim that 'fully slotted hover and swift was too slow to chase down enemies', which I knew was bullshit since I'd been playing Aci hovering full time with no problems in that area... although I didn't chase down runners often, so just to make sure, I logged on as Aci and tested it. And yeah, fully-slotted-hover plus unslotted swift was plenty fast enough to catch enemies.
While I was on as Aci, I got invited to a team, and joined up because what the hell. It was someone trying to take down Numina as an AV (well, a 'Hero') for Ghost Widow's first arc. So, longbow. I was way, way out of practice playing Aci, and coming from playing a low level scrapper at that! So I died a lot, mostly to things stunning me.
It took us three tries to take down Numina, and the one that succeeded I totally saved the day by fearing and then later nuking the ambush that had ended the second attempt. We still only just barely won -- I bet everyone on the team saved the day at some point during that fight, and we all got killed by the remains of the ambush afterwards. People shouldn't take on AV missions on relentless.
The Sunday meets are pretty depressing lately. There aren't very many people who still come to them, and going back to Lex's place is a crapshoot since I hate about half the people in that house. Plus, there's not much room to do anything, and even sitting on the couch watching movies is uncomfortable because the couch cushions are all screwed up. I kind of want to start going over to Legend's instead, but I think I missed my last chance to do that when Tiro tried to get people down there... and I don't know who else would go anyway, and I don't want to be there by myself.
Speaking of, Tiro's one of the people who vanished without a trace. He still has a bunch of Buffy DVDs he borrowed.
