Weekend Stuff

terryclothGRR. Ever since the last security patch, IE has been crashing on a regular basis. It crashed three times trying to get to the 'update journal' page alone.
I spent most of the weekend playing city of heroes, since they were having a double-xp weekend where, obviously, xp was doubled. So was inf and prestige, and possibly enhancement drop rate, although it's a lot harder to verify the latter.
Of course, Saturday I went out and got comics and stuff, and Sunday I tried to go to the meet at crossroads, although it broke up a few minutes after I arrived, and I was warned off following them to the house because they were going to have a huge angsty house meeting about how they were all being evicted.
Well, technically, they're not being evicted as such -- they're moving elsewhere because they suspect an eviction is coming. Apparently, someone was camping out in their front yard, and the landlord's agent came by and told him to stop, and he didn't immediately make like he was an illegal squatter that the cops should come arrest, so the agent found out he was a houseguest. Somehow, this contributed to the tension between them and the landlord more than the dozen extra people subletting rooms without being on the lease.
So, right. That was a bust. More double xp for me? I spent the afternoon and evening playing Ice Weasel, my EM/ninja stalker. At level 29, with SOs finally, he's actually pretty scrappy. Energy Transfer is like a second assassin strike that doesn't require you to be hidden, and its drawback (it costs health in addition to endurance) is pretty minimal.
The double XP was supposed to stop at 9pm pacific, although I've heard that it actually didn't. Still, I'd already planned to go out to a movie afterwards, and I was getting a bit sick of CoV anyway. So I saw 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend', since Murdock said that it was good.
And... it was. The premise was basically 'so, a spazzy freak gets superpowers and suddenly everyone likes them... do they change their personality and stop being a freak? Of course not!' It had the least arousing sex scenes I've ever seen in a movie, too.
Afterwards I decided to install Titan Quest, also known as 'Not Diablo 3'. It's exactly like Diablo 2, only set in ancient greece... haven't gotten very far, though, so while I can say I like it so far, I haven't really played it as far as I can throw it. Or something like that.
Oh, and finally, I bought some Cold Snap over the weekend, although I haven't been playing magic much. I'm not sure Cold Snap'll change that... the snow covered theme is kind of 'blah' just looking at the cards, although I'll have to play them to see if it's interesting in action. I got a couple copies of Dark Depths, though... there's got to be a way to abuse that. }:P
