Last night was... games again.
May. 16th, 2006 10:48 amUpdated a couple magic decks for Dissension. These were updated by using the new multilands and signets to flush them out to three colors.
The Polymorph deck was made blue/green/red so that I could add Savage Twister, to address the deck's greatest weakness -- getting overrun by aggro before it did anything but cast Kodama's Reach a lot. While I was there, I added Hondens. And took out Meloku, who kind of sucked.
The boring Boros deck was made red/white/back so that I could add Mortify and Wrecking Ball, both searchable with Sunforger. While I was there, I took out the purely defensive stuff and added Kuro's Taken -- regeneration goes well with Sunforger's power-only boosting, and he's a Samurai in case Godo ever actually manages to attack and survive, which so far has never happened in any incarnation of the deck except against goldfish.
Plus, Kuro's Taken was stinky in the rat deck. Replaced him with the also stinky, but at least potentially scary nezumi graverobbers.
I really really wanted to put Hide and Seek in the Boros deck, just so that I could say 'I hide your Umezawa's Cheat on the bottom of your deck!', but I couldn't find anything I'd take out for it.
I also played City of Heroes with K'Teri, trying out Choking Cloud. Prognosis: Choking Cloud is pretty cool, but expensive to run (although nowhere NEAR as expensive as the planner says -- the price it has listed must be per tick, and it only ticks every five seconds). If I want to keep it, I probably want to ditch the leadership pool. Which I can do -- Quicksand, which I skipped as a useless slow, reportedly has a huge defense debuff, which'll replace tactics.
Finally, got around to watching this week's GiTS:SAC(2G)... and all I can say is, yay! It's finally getting exciting! }:) America is about to nuke Japan, and the only people who can stop it are... actually... it doesn't really seem that likely that anyone can stop it! Eee!
