Mac OS sucks more
Mar. 9th, 2006 02:31 pmOr maybe it's the hardware.
Ended up having to reinstall as every recommendation I got to fix the previous problem made things worse until the computer was totally frozen all the time. After reinstalling, setting up the network, and running software update, and NOTHING ESLE, the computer started freezing again.
Note that the other versions are still okay, so it seems to be something specific to 10.3.9. Basically, it started doing this when I installed the latest security update. Yay Apple for your 'timely' and frequent updates... but try fucking testing them next time, okay?
Not really sure what to do now. I guess I can limp along on a different OS for a while... or else try installing to a different partition, in case there's some flaw in the disk or something that erasing and reformatting didn't catch.
