Well, still playing a lot of City of Villains. Got Aci up to 14, and took Teleport. Finally! Getting a travel power always feels like 'Finally!'

Based on a suggestion from the boards, I also have hover (took it at 12), and wow, it's night and day. Teleport is actually a *good* travel power if you also have hover. Since you don't have to frantically click on the next destination point the instant you arrive to avoid falling, you don't accidentally click too early, spin yourself around, and get completely lost and disoriented. You also don't run out of endurance nearly as fast with an extra second or so wait between hops.

Also, what self-respecting aci wouldn't be able to hover?

Besides that, I started playing a little bit of Pokemon XD. It's... a bit disappointing. The shadow pokemon are a lot better developed -- they're actually more powerful than non-shadow pokemon of the same level now, since the shadow attacks are strong against all non-shadow pokemon (and weak against other shadow pokemon). So it makes sense that someone might cripple their pokemon and stunt its growth for the sake of getting that attack; it's at least a short-term benefit.

The problem is that, so far, in addition to not really changing the battle system at all or adding new pokemon, they didn't even make new *maps*. While it was sort of reasonable to re-use the town where you de-shadow pokemon (since you use a unique artifact to do that), I'm now in the same damn Cipher base I remember all too well from Pokemon Colloseum.

Also, the enemy pokemon are way underlevelled compared to your team, because the shadow pokemon (the only ones you can snag) are always about five to ten levels higher than their companions. I hope this is going to change as time goes on, or the game is going to be too snoozy not to lose hope in.

The Monday game is in a weird place. Jen is going to have us over to her house for the next couple weeks to show us a british miniseries to get us in the mood for playing technocracy cronies in charge of hunting down monsters. She's also the only one who really knows the rules we're going to use... but she doesn't want to run the game, because she thinks we'd hate her style of GMing (based on how much she hates our style of GMing, presumably).

And at work, I'm slogging through headers. H8 HEADERS. The only think I hate more than headers is makefiles, and... well... that's next. Damn it.
