Christmas of sorts

terryclothWent to my sister's for christmas/hanukah. Neither Alex or Anna is very devout, but they were mostly doing Christmas -- we had latkes and a menorah, though. We couldn't remember any channuka songs except for the three blessings over the candles.
We also had a pot roast, because Alex didn't like the idea of latkes -- and unfortunately, we made 'homestyle latkes' first which were pretty terrible, so now Alex and little Stevie are pretty sure they hate them. The second batch was the real thing, but it was too late, everyone was full (although Anna and I ate some anyway).
We'd also exchanged gifts already the week before when mom was here, so there really wasn't all that much to it.
