terryclothRight. So the post-downloader crashed again, while I was at work (not a surprise, as it always does that), probably not long before I headed home, since Earthlink hadn't shut down from inactivity yet.
So now I'm waiting for it to connect to the updater proper so I can see if the 1.1G I managed to pull down over the course of the last week was a wasted effort or not. If it was... well, I guess I'll have to lug my computer over to somebody's house with a better connection, 'cause I sure don't want to spend the next week patching too.
EDIT: It did pick up where the post-downloader had left off, so supposedly I have another 30 hours of downloading left, which means I could be playing again by Saturday morning, which is the earliest I could play after tonight anyway. Typically something goes wrong and I end up downloading 'till Saturday night, though... but on the other hand I might be able to get the patch by other means and skip the rest of the download. [shrug]
