Up to 846 megs downloaded... I hope this is pointless and I can get a copy from someone, but I can't count on that. Of course, I've heard inklings that the patch is actually going live tomorrow instead of Monday... blah.
I logged on my claws/SR scrapper and played around with him. He really does play like a blaster now, which doesn't make him unplayable or unfun, but he can't do any of the things he used to and live -- he has to stick to 3 white minions. }:P Well, okay, it's not quite that bad.
I used up the I5 respec because, well, it's just about the last chance, and was able to vastly improve his build for the blaster playstyle, while making him ED-compliant. Since defense can't ever reach significant levels, there's no point prioritizing dodge and agility (although I'll want them eventually because I6 adds some resistance to them, I've heard), and also no point taking Spin because using it is suicidal. That let me take Quickness and Stamina a lot earlier... the one gives me a continuous attack chain with no gaps, the other eliminates the stamina problems and lets him basically scrap forever. As long as he takes on white and blue minions.
Also went for hurdle instead of swift, which I'm starting to think is always the right choice. Hurdle + Quickness + Combat Jumping is about as fast as super jump, and hurdle + quickness + super jump is... tolerably fast.
Claws/SR is still kind of dull, though. But it used to be 'boring but you didn't have to worry about getting killed' and now it's 'boring and dangerous'. Unless you're taking on white minions.
The story circle last night was pretty short, but went okay. I had to write most of the plot points myself, though, which was kind of a bummer. Not *all* of them, at least.
