All is lost...
Sep. 22nd, 2005 07:37 pmSo, after a horrible meeting that made me want to gnaw off limbs to escape, and the return of the endless bug of doom (which I fixed again, but for HOW LONG?), I walked home (this is never fun, and I always regret walking to work around 6pm) and found a message waiting for me that mom was in town this weekend, and when was I coming over to see her? And help them pack up and move to a new house for some reason?
So, I returned the call, but got an answering machine, and basically said 'Saturday, or maybe tonight if you call back'. Note that I am now on the internet, so they can't.
I figured I'd eat the soup I picked up on the way back while watching the season premiere of Lost, which I've been waiting for for a very long time -- I have my DVR recording it, and every week I check the recording to see whether it's a rerun or the season premiere at last. So, when I heard that it was, indeed, the premiere this week, I quickly went to it and started playing...
"Welcome to the recap of the first season of Lost, which we put in the time slot the actual show usually goes in just to piss off people recording the series! The actual show is coming on right after this one, when you won't be recording it, and by the way we aren't going to show any repeats any time soon. HAND! FOADYPW! LOLS!"
Maybe the last part is only in my imagination.
If I was a good person, then since everything else has fallen through tonight, I'd go over to Tom's and help him pack all his stuff in boxes, because a family of six isn't enough people to box a houseful of stuff over the course of two months, and he asked all his friends for help.
I'm not that good of a person, though. If it wasn't for the soup, I'd probably be out pricing sniper rifles.
Mmm, soup.
