I slept in today -- which is okay, it just means skipping my morning walk, which means making it up over the weekend, which should be doable. OR I could count the extra-long walks I took yesterday and Wednesday as compensation, but that sort of thinking is dangerous.

I had to sleep in because I got to sleep last night at about 2:45am, because at midnight, just as I was putting things in the bank and repairing armor and such after a night genociding vulriches with Chitter and a pick-up-group, the people that I knew from the guild came on and invited everyone down to Fallen Gate.

I'd never been in Fallen Gate before (it used to have an access quest) but I had *nine* quests telling me to go there and kill a dozen different things (four of them were FSRs), so I figured it'd be worth staying up a little late.

Nibbles (the necromancer) was tanking again -- somehow, she always manages to get everything in the encounter attacking her pet before taking much damage (although I'm sure the shaman helped with that part). With three scouts backstabbing, things went fairly quickly, considering that everything in the dungeon was ^^heroic (or less if it came in big groups).

I didn't finish any of the nine quests before I had to recall home due to nearly getting myself killed following the wrong group around past enemies that must have been grey to them, because I was too drowsy to notice that their names were blue and purple instead of green. And that they weren't ratonga. I did get some 'boots of malice' that I'll probably have to sell, since they're made out of paper but have good stats -- mage shoes, in other words.

So, anyway, since I stayed up late I set the alarm to wake me up late, and skipping the walk actually compensated for the extra time I slept (as opposed to the extra time I left on the alarm, which was longer) almost exactly. Huh.

Of course, driving to work by the new route that just opened, the last light once again came around to the point in the cycle where I'd get a green *just before* I pulled up to the light, meaning it skipped me (again) and I had to wait through an entire cycle (again). GRRRR! The walk lights do that too -- if you're less than a couple seconds early pushing the button before it switches to the point in the cycle where it's safe to walk, you have to wait until it goes all the way around again.

Or, well, just cross anyway. Pfeh.
