Apparently, Tuesday is my 'pretend EQ2 doesn't exist' day. The story circle helps with that -- while I'm at it, I also take care of things like, oh, reading the week's e-mail. I don't *deliberately* only check e-mail once a week, but that's how it worked out this week. Lot of spam builds up in a week. And a lot of LJ-notices. Other than that, only one message that was important -- my sister confirming that Alex had gotten vacation time and that they'd bought tickets on a specific flight etc. I got a ticket on the same flight, although since I didn't know what seat she picked I probably won't be sitting next to her, unless they let you pick your seats when you check in. Which, as far as I know, they do.

So, yeah, I'm definately going back to Toledo to see family next month. God, I'm terrified. Which is stupid.

Anyway, the story circle itself went pretty well, but we ran out of time (aka 'people') at the climax, so the ending was kind of a cop-out. }:P

Afterwards, I went on city of heroes, because I've been playing EQ2 too much. I had a lot of fun playing K'Teri -- put together a team to finish out the Ubelman story arc, a scrapper, blaster, warshade, and another controller in that order. And man, you know? Without a tank to make them redundant, or the really easy missions I was on last time I played, controllers are just *so* not overpowered.

I mean, yeah, we won, but it was challenging, and everyone came close to dying at least once (and some people actually did; I got some use out of Mutation). You can lay down volcanic gases, earthquake, enervating field, and lingering radiation, and the vampires are *still* going to kick your ass unless you fossilize them.

Actually, when it was just the first three of us, the missions were pretty easy because we were going up against small groups, and I could just fossilize them all. I was practicing post-nerf tactics during that stage -- holding off on the AoEs and just using radiation powers and fossilize. That worked up until we added a fourth member.

I'm really not looking forward to I5.
