Some stuff I forgot...

I went to see Howl's Moving Castle with my mom on Sunday... I was surprised by how closely it followed the book. It actually followed the book a little more closely than I might have wanted, since the ending in both was really convoluted and confusing. }:P
Alex and Anna wanted me to take her to see Madagascar instead. The way it works in my family, is that someone says "Which movie should we go see?" and then everyone says "I don't care, whichever." This time, I actually had a movie I wanted to see, so I mentioned that, and everyone else kept insisting they didn't care while trying to machinate behind my back to arrange it so that we had no choice but to see Madagascar.
But this time I got stubborn, and despite Alex's last-minute delaying tactics ('Let me print you out a map! Oh, dear, the printer wasn't turned on. Now it's out of ink! Oh look at the time...') I dragged my mother out the door and over to the theater with about negative two minutes to spare, which means we only missed a bit of the previews.
Mom said she liked Howl's afterwards, but it's impossible to know for sure, because that's what she would have said anyway. }:P God, I hate politeness. It's the bane of modern existence!
