We had a session of Jeff's D20 Star Wars game last night. Stacey didn't show up, which was really annoying since it was kind of an important session, although less so for her since she's not exactly a jedi.
Despite some misgivings, Sepna seemed to actually not be working for the Grand Inquisitor, because while Mon Calamari was occupied by the empire (to the tune of 20 star destroyers), they weren't immediately recognized and arrested.
So they took a shuttle down to the surface, and Druu Kai pinged for Master Li Shao with telepathy... she wasn't close, but he was persistent, and managed to get a 1000km ping. She told them she was in the giant sea tree preserve, and that part of their test would be locating her.
To get to the tree preserve, they converted their old republic credits to imperial credits (Mon Calamari was still in the 6-month grace period, so this went smoothly) and rented a submarine for a week at one of the travel agencies down by the docks. They let the autopilot take them as far as the visitor's center, then ditched the tracking device and shut it off so that they could explore properly.
Druu Kai used farseeing to sense that Li Shao was in a cave, then to get a vision of when she had entered the cave. The visitor's center had resources detailing the wildlife in the preserve, so they were able to figure out what depth the cave she was in was at, which left only a tedious search of thousands of miles of underwater 'coastline'.
During the search, they found an abandoned but still powered facility of some sort, and decided to come back later, since finding Li Shao was pretty high-priority. Well, actually, that's not exactly true -- they decided to continue searching for the cave while taking a trip back to the visitor's center to get a translation program to translate all the writing on the outside of the facility, and happend to spot the cave on the way back.
The cave turned out to be a small jedi training facility, and Li Shao was there. She was also concerned about Dodger's brush with the dark side, but decided to give them all the test anyway, since they were ready to be jedi knights.
The test was a vision of some sort -- they woke up in a bunch of prison cells on some kind of station, with the grand inquisitor telling them that he was so glad they'd agreed to become his apprentices in order to save Mon Calamari. He singled out Dodger to be the first one to train -- or rather, Dodger's body, with Kunda inside it watching her react. Druu Kai was in Kuu's body, and Kuu was inside Sepna. [unfortuantely everyone else was absent, so it wasn't really clear who's bodies they were in]
Dodger was taken away for training, and told to focus her hatred -- which she did, trying to choke the inquisitor. "Good, good. Now kill Ituda." Ituda was in the next room, acting utterly decadent, watching porn and gorging himself and singing the praises of the empire. Dodger wasn't willing to kill him, though, even when the inquisitor threatened to kill 100 innocents if she didn't. Instead, she spent a force point to use her rage to choke the inquisitor more, knocking him unconscious... then looted his body and stabbed him in the throat with a vibroknife. Kunda was not a good influence on Dodger.
Meanwhile, the rest of the party had escaped from prison by force-gripping the field emitters [which were tiny and grippable, the DM eventually informed us when we failed to look for them on our own, unlike the giant force field emitters that took 5 minutes to destroy with light sabers the last time we ran into force fields] then using Sepna's invisibility and Kuu's illusions to confuse the guards long enough to get to their equipment, which was conveniently stored in lockers in the next room over [the DM had one of the currently NPCd characters discover this too, since we had no idea the little lumps he'd drawn were even lockers]. Although Kunda did his best to get himself killed by attacking unarmed without training, the party managed to fairly handily dispose of the guards that were right there.
At that point, Dodger used the inquisitor's com codes to contact them. Sepna (well, Kuu in Sepna) wanted to blow up the station, but Dodger showed them the blueprints -- the station was really, really, really big. The power room was three kilometers away, past many many checkpoints... so even trying to get to it was suicide, let alone blowing it up.
The hangar bay was close, though, so they rejoined Dodger and headed for a hangar. Vidal was in one of the other cells, broken and in despair, but they dragged him along anyway. They also convinced Ituda to come with them, as even if he was scum, well, he was their best pilot. Kunda dressed up as the inquisitor and used his access codes to get to the ship, Druu Kai in Kuu used affect mind to convince the inquisitor's personal guards that that really was the inquisitor and they should let him and his new apprentices pass, and a haughty attitude convinced the docking control to give them clearance for a quick insystem flight.
As they charged up their hyperdrives, they heard the sound of Darth Vader breathing over the comm, and watched the Death Star blow up Mon Calamari. Oh yeah -- they'd agreed to be prisoners to save the planet, hadn't they? The disturbance in the force from several billion fish and squids dying horribly was enough to knock them out of the vision.
Somewhat to their surprise, Li Shao told them that they had passed their test, and were now jedi. She gave them access to her holocrons so that they could learn from the jedi weapon-masters within, letting Kunda and Druu Kai take the jedi weapon master prestige class, and all of them learn 'form IV', which was very important for high-dex low-strength lightsaber wielders. Kuu, from his time in Sepna, also understood the 'White Current' well enough that he'd be able to study as a White Current Adept at a later time.

Patrick and Ed got free feats cribbed off the sheets of the people they'd been inside, and all I got was prestige class access, which they *also* got for free. Two levels of the prestige class will let me turn invisible and make an illusion of myself that I can see and use force powers through, though, which are both pretty sweet powers. The rest of the class is sucky, so I'll probably only take those two levels.
