Success and Failure

terryclothSuccess, of sort, is in EQ2 crafting, where by extensive use of 'quit if I get a bad crafting round before the point of no return' I managed to make some useful spell scolls (apprentice III), at the cost of a bunch of candles and about a hundred cones of incense, which adds up. I also made a pristine tin symbol, which was slightly useful until I found the merchant who sells the (much better) store-bought version.
I also wandered all over the commonlands doing a few quests, but couldn't find the 'fallen gate'. I did find the entrance to Nektulos forest, but didn't go inside.
However, all through the session, my mouse would keep gradually losing sensitivity until it would momentarily cut out, then with a 'bing-boop, boop-bing!' noise (as if it'd been unplugged and then plugged back in) it would return to full functionality, only to repeat the whole process every hour or so. It doesn't do this when I'm not playing EQ2.
Before going to bed, I set up a merchant placard and left my little rat logged on trying to sell off an extra spell scroll and some crafting books and rare materials while I went to watch a few episodes of Hyper Police. Didn't sell anything, but my DVD player sparked and smoked and died suddenly in the middle of an episode. Which was strange, because I was watching Hyper Police on VHS.
