But, unfortunately, using a free one. And, unfortunately, I didn't get Cinnamon up to 24 after all, partly because of massive amounts of debt thanks to the stupid Ghost Ship killing me over and over and over, which means that I couldn't take hover again yet. Damn it.

Basically, Hover/Fly --> Superspeed/Hasten.
Slots from everything not absolutely essential --> Hasten. Still not perma due to lack of funds.
Flares (useless without slots) --> Ice Sword (which is at least a relevant attack even unslotted)

The result is... more complicated, and less convenient. I, perhaps unwisely, kept swift instead of going with hurdle (because while I'm not *sure* it helps out Hover, I think it might), so Superspeeding around is a bit more painful than with, say, K'teri (although it's noticably faster!). But I think once I get hover back and slotted up, that'll go away, and when I take another fire attack so that I have an attack chain that doesn't involve melee, she'll be better than ever.

Oh, and if fricking SOs didn't cost 30k influence so that I could make Hasten permanent already, she'd already be better than ever. Fire blast three times with an ice sword finisher is better than fire blast twice and flares twice was. Not to mention ice slick and fire breath and fireball are on shorter timers now. Well, 2/3rds of the time.

Ice Sword is sort of situational... there's usually an opportunity to use it in every battle, but it's not worth hanging out in melee range for longer than an instant to pull off. But when an enemy's slooowly running from place to place with their pistol out, or bouncing up and down from ice slick, or presumably 'aggrod on someone else' although I haven't tested the respecced build in a group yet, you can sword them without eating a melee strike in return.

And unslotted it does about as much (70) as four-slotted fireblast (80). Which is a lot more than flares ever did, even with three slots! (40)

Trivia: This gives me three powers from my primary, and five powers from my secondary... but the fire attacks have all the slots, while the ice support has not a single extra slot anywhere in it. The eventual plan is to have seven from the primary (no flares, no rain of aggro) and six from the secondary (what I got now + the melee hold).

Suprising(ly not fatal) discovery: turning on Chilling Embrace doesn't suppress super speed. Having it happen to hit an enemy *does*. Prognosis: Turn it off while running around!
