The strangest things.

Saturday, Lex and Morphy had a 'handfasting', which was... well... shall we say, rather perfuctory? I don't think they're terribly serious pagans, and if they rehearsed the ceremony they certainly didn't rehearse the whole thing -- unwinding the circle was *painful*, and at least one person ordered his watchtower to stay around forever, probably by accident.
Also, the element of fire was represented by zippo-fuel-soaked toilet paper. Which they were still unable to actually light on fire.
Oh well, they'll have another one next year, right?
Afterwards, there was a normal gathering-at-Legend's thing going on, with food and movies (although nothing I liked much) and snuggling of sorts (although mostly not with me) and magic the gathering. I stayed 'till like eight or nine before heading home, and decided that that counted as my furry gathering for the week.
So I spent most of today playing City of Heroes, starting a new character... 'Litany' -- and I couldn't beleive that name was still available -- an illusion/storm controller whose backstory is that she's schizophrenic, and thinks she's talking to ghosts. They started as voices in her head telling her to kill, until she finally said, 'no, if you want them dead, YOU kill them!' And they did. So, spectral wounds was learned. }:)
At low levels an illusion controller plays a lot like a blaster, although eventually the controller damage progression will put an end to that. The problem I have with her is that the storm secondary taken to cover the 'control' part that illusion usually lacks isn't really working too well. Snow Storm is fine for what it is, but Slow is inherently limited by the whole 'alpha strike' bit, and it only gets worse as time goes on and enemies get more attacks to cycle through before they have to wait for recharge.
I think I might be getting tired of city of heroes, though... at least, grinding through enemies trying to level characters up is starting to feel like grinding through enemies trying to level up. }:P At the very least, I think I'm done with it for the night.
