Mission Accomplished (knock on wood)

Or at least, it's in a state where I think it's accomplished, and won't find out that it's not for at least a couple weeks.
But first, bowling!
Work has been kind of boring, lately, because I was implementing a certain thingamajig on a bunch of not-quite-identical widgets. I factored out everything I could, but it still took two weeks to do all the subclasses. And test them. And sprinkle invalidation logic throughout the app. And figure out how the hell I was supposed to unwind the maze of destructors so that I could free everything exactly once, but not before the OS was done sending events at them. I finished all that yesterday.
So, now that I was done with the boring bit, we were all hauled off to a morale event which was not only boring, but humiliating and painful as well. That is, bowling.
Actually, it wasn't that bad. They had food, and free drinks, and I (lost badly at) a game of Peurto Rico between games. Also, I bowled a quite respectable 44 and 52. Well, it's respectable for me.
The bus that was going to take us back to work was later than originally planned, though (they called to tell it to come late, because we were running late), and I only just barely caught the bus home from work (I walked to work because I was planning to drink at the morale event and didn't want to have to drive home) and only because it was late. But it *was* late, so yay.
However, once I was home, I took care of certain business (painkillers for sore legs, wrists, teeth, and head, and RESTROOM BREAK argh!) and then had to go right out again and get a printer cable. And... more paper, because apparently I was down to four sheets, which would have been enough if not for the cover sheet and the printer test alignment page.
Speaking of which... the alignment on this printer is *awful*, and after alignment it's *worse*. You have to load the paper by pushing it into a slot past a certain amount of resistance, or it'll think it's out of paper and beep. But if you push it in too far, it sucks in multiple sheets at once and jams. It also makes horrible scraping tearing crinkling noises as it sucks in each sheet. Oh, and prints everything rotated 10 degrees. There's probably a way to make it redo the alignment test... I bet I put the alignment page into the scanner backwards or something. Gah.
Still, everything fit on the page, so I'm mailing it off as is. Nya.
Let me just say, bowling is hell on my wrists. My right hand hurts badly whenver I move my thumb, which means I can type just fine, but handwriting is agony... and I need to use two hands to work the parking brake or gear shift. Good thing I have an automatic.
I need to remember never to bowl again. u.u
