Do you remember...

At work, the campus is infested with cherry blossoms. Apparently, the trees that landscaping was planting all winter were cherry trees, which are now in bloom. Or, if not cherry trees, some other variant that sends swarms of white petals flurrying around everywhere.
It's kind of pretty, I guess. And the weather is very nice. I decided to try walking both to and from work yesterday, and sure enough walking home was all *down* hill, but (sure enough) I ended up walking the last block or so in the dark, and I'm pretty sure any health benefits were outweighed by my inability to resist the five supermarkets and convenience stores that I pass on the way home, or more specifically by the oreos I bought there to use up the last of the milk that I had in my fridge.
My mind is sneaky. It lured me inside by reminding me that I needed more soap and toothpaste, then over to the snack section by telling me that if I didn't get 'something' to use the milk up it would go bad... stupid mind.
Today I had to drive, though, because I'm heading down to Renton after work, to... er... well, to do something, probably. We won't actually be playing because it's a small group and Snowwy's said he'll be absent. Two days of disuse left my car coated with sap from the pine tree outside my window, to the point where I almost couldn't see out the windshield. The wiper fluid worked well on the sap, though, and the other windows were more vertical and therefore less sappy. Still, the car's starting to look like something of a disaster area. Maybe I should get it washed.
I also had a strange dream last night, about how I and a bunch of friends were the crew of an experimental team researching a high tech alien spaceship, and trying to stop what amounted to the evil doctor from Lost In Space from destroying ANOTHER universe (ours was already drowned in black sludge, and we'd had to flee) by misusing the alien technology. What made it memorable was the creepy insane AI that was working with the evil doctor -- who insisted that she was on our side even as she kept triggering more and more ancient technology.
