What year was it?
1991-92.
What were your three favorite bands (performers)?
REM, Indigo Girls, and the Police.
What was your favorite outfit?
I honestly don't remember. It was probably some special t-shirt.
What was up with your hair?
I kept it short then, but was lazy about cutting it. So, usually, medium-length and cowlicked.
Who were your best friends?
There were a bunch of 'lesbians' (many of whom later got married and/or pregnant) that ran the school poetry club, and were also in my Russian class.
What did you do after school?
Jazz band, sometimes. Otherwise, I'd go home and play computer games or watch cartoons.
Where did you work?
Work?
Did you take the bus?
Yeah. My mom let me drop her off at work if I wanted to drive, but it was too much trouble compared to just catching the damn bus.
Who did you have a crush on?
In senior year? No one.
Did you fight with your parents?
No. Er, I didn't fight *against* my mother, anyway. There was this incident with the neighbor who lived behind us...
Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on?
I didn't know who any celebrities were.
Did you smoke cigarettes?
No, although I occasionally had cravings from the one time I tried them. Those have since died out, although it took a decade or so.
Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack all day because you were too nervous to find your locker?
I usually carried a few around at a time, trying to minimize the distance walked in the hallways.
Did you have a 'clique'?
See 'best friends' above. That's the clique I wasn't really part of.
Did you have "The Max" like Zach, Kelly, and Slater?
Wha?
Admit it, were you popular?
By High School, most people I interacted with at least pretended to like me. So, no, not at all -- I was a complete nonentity.
Who did you want to be just like?
I don't remember his name... but he was this mormon kid who was a friend of mine, but was more popular, and *actually went out* with the girl I had a crush on freshman year, and so on.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I'd decided to be an electrical engineer by that point.
Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now?
I thought I'd be married with children. I'm still annoyed that I'm not.
