terryclothI spent the morning playing Jak 3... I think I beat the game. The last FMV that I saw looked like I won the game... but then it crashed. Given that the boss fight I'd just been in was really really annoying, I decided to call it a win and go on with my life.
I showed up early for the crossroads gathering, like I normally do, but no one else did this time. People did show up by 1... we couldn't take our normal tables, though, because a gigantic group of people were having a birthday party, with cakes and balloons... cursed balloons!
We found other tables to sit at, though. I played a few games of magic, and talked to various people. One game was my rather underpowered staying power deck and a samurai beatdown precon against the two nastiest blue control decks I've seen, that proceeded to neutralize each other with counterspell wars, letting the white weenies pick them to death.
Most people went to Legend's afterwards, but I headed down to Lex's. It turned out that the other people Lex was having over were there just to screw him -- so I tried to watch 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' with Brellen. Unfortunately, we had the 'shout out' track turned on, which drowned out the movie and was incomprehensible -- I couldn't even understand the quips that I remembered. Really poorly done.
So, when Lex and company decided to go out to eat, we stopped the movie and went with them. They had us follow them there, even though they could have given simple instructions ('go down 99 until you see the restaurant', basically), and that went really poorly. The person driving the lead car didn't know how to be followed, and kept driving along in the wrong lane, then suddenly switching lanes just before we had to turn.
The restaurant was some generic american food place -- kind of expensive, considering, although I guess everywhere else in the vicinity is at least as pricey. I had a 'reuben', except that instead of thousand island dressing and sourkraut, they used cole slaw. Luckily, they had chipotle flavored Tabasco sauce, which made it edible.
And the conversation was amusing. The waitress insisted she wasn't listening to us -- I hope she was telling the truth! O.O
Then we went home, and Lex tried to start playing Jak 3 (which I let him borrow), but was really tired and groggy... so I spent some time talking with Brellan about vore stuff (which he's into too), and we showed each other a bunch of websites. Then I headed back.
My neck's still sore, but it's more 'warning that it's going to hurt if I overstrain it' as opposed to 'actively causing me pain', so that's better than yesterday at least.
