Thanksgiving. Not!

terryclothEh. I sat around the house all day, this Thanksgiving. I probably could have got in touch with someone who was having a proper celebration, but I just didn't care enough. Safeway was selling 'Thanksgiving Dinner Plates' in the same way they always have takeout chinese, which was close enough for government work... although I think I'll go back to Kentucky Fried Chicken in the future.
I had an idea for a story, which I'm currently writing. It's a self-contained, relatively short narrative, and I think I might actually finish it... the problem is that the throwaway character that was supposed to die in the first scene didn't, and now appears to be... er... well, not exactly the protagonist, as such, but the viewpoint character. This is a serious problem because I can't think of a way for her to be present for the final scene, and it would look weird to switch viewpoints suddenly, after not doing it for the rest of the story.
Actually -- yes, yes, that would work. Okay. It's a plan!
