Stupid Hospitals
Nov. 10th, 2004 10:15 amSandy sent out mail to the (friday RPG) group list yesterday that Lazar was in the hospital, recovering from appendicitis. She told us to call, but I couldn't find the hospital's number anywhere on their website, and it was sort of on the way home from work, so I stopped by then.
I thought visiting hours were until 8, but apparently they just don't care, and I was there 'till about 11:30 listening to Lazar talk about his life, and magic, and religion, and the game, and other games... eventually he let me go. I was getting itchy because I was worried I wanted to play Halo 2, which just came out. }:)
During the conversation, especially the parts about religion, the man in the bed next to him, who was apparently still waiting on his operation and was in horrible pain, kept moaning things seemingly in response to the conversation. It was really creepy.
Now, it looks like I'm getting a cold. I guess this shouldn't be too surprising, having just gone to a hospital with lots of sick people around. Stupid hospitals.
