terryclothWe had the charity bake sale today... I bought a plate of brownies for $75. That was one of the cheaper going prices for a full sized item, although the marketing team had little mini-pies that they were selling that went cheap because they were so tiny.
They also each had cutesy names (because, you know, they were from the marketing team). One of them was the 'Don't Be Cheap' mini-apple pie. I bid fifty cents on it, which stood for an uncomfortably long time... especially considering that the auctioneer had threatened to lick any item which sold for less than $25. Someone saved me and bid $40, though. }:P
Paying for the items is apparently on the honors system this year -- no one was even writing down the winning bids, that I could see. So I increased the normal payroll charity tithing by $75... I think that's what we were supposed to do.
