3...2...1... contact?

terryclothThe meet was at Crossroads this week, like always... and Kae was there. The security guards didn't notice him, so he didn't get in trouble.
For a while, it looked like I wouldn't get to play any magic this week -- none of the people I play magic with showed up except Soltris and Blake, and Blake was busy Pokemoning with Darter, and Soltris was making out with some girl. Eventually, Kitsunetaur showed up, and Soltris offered to play a game, and we got a couple big multiplayer games in. My decks won all of them, although I wasn't always the one playing them. }:P And I got lucky, because everyone was ganging up on Soltris.
Anyway, around the time I planned to leave to head over to Legend's new place (I like to know where he lives, so that I can show up after the D+D games on alternate Sundays }:P), Lex and company finally showed up. I did some more trading with Lex (some Inames and a Myojin of Life's Web for a Dragon sword, a samurai general, the whispering snakie wakie, a rude awakening, and an orochi hatchery, as well as some commons and uncommons for a bunch of the new multilands, which Lex hates).
I was hoping that we'd dawdled enough to miss Contact, but no -- we got to Legend's just as it was starting. The movie was as bad as I remembered it, and everyone else there liked it and kept shushing me when I tried to MST3K it. We also saw the last episode of Father of the Pride, though, which was actually pretty funny -- easily the best of the ones I've seen. I'm assuming that's the last one ever, though... I don't think it got very good ratings among non-furries.
Then everyone had to leave early to go home. I only had to take one person back, and they lived not far away -- Raven caught a ride with some other people going to Kent, and Kitsunetaur with Cal.
Pretty much all the cards I traded for went straight into my decks... hard to say for sure if they really made them better, but I think they should.
