Wow, Fable Sucks
Sep. 27th, 2004 12:59 amI'm not sure what's wrong with it; it seems like it should be good, but something's wrong -- there's a frame rate problem, maybe? At any rate, I sort of get a headache playing it, and the controls are soft and annoying -- you shouldn't run into walls and trees on foot, I'm pretty sure.
But that's not why Fable sucks. Fable sucks because, after a half hour playing through a sort of boring and cloyingly preachy initial little kid sequence, it segued into an *amazingly* boring, tedious, and repetitive training montage, which sapped my will to play. So, after a couple hours, just before I was about to take the 'final test', I went to the menu, saved the game, and turned off the XBox to rest my eyes and watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
Reloading the save put me at the beginning of the training montage. It saved the XP, gold, and items that I collected in the process, but that's NOT THE POINT. I'm not sure I have the patience to go through all that again. >.
